Frederick "Fred" C. Daemer

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Frederick C. Daemer, age 63, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.</strong></p> <p><strong>Born in Elkton, MD, Fred was the son of the late Joseph Daemer (Marie) and the late Myrtle Paoletti (Angelo). Before retiring in 2018, he worked as a maintenance machinist at Kimberly-Clark for 30 years.</strong></p> <p><strong>Family and friends were the center of Fred&rsquo;s life. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Isabella, and going to car shows with his friends from work. Fred loved to travel, especially to North Carolina for family reunions, as well as down to the beach. He was also an avid Eagles fan.</strong></p> <p><strong>Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Maryann (Slaughter) Daemer; his two step-sons, Edward J. Bonvetti and Joseph A. Bonvetti (Tara); his granddaughter, Isabella Bonvetti; his sister-in-law, Fran Brumbaugh (Dave); his very special aunt, Ann Sanders; his niece, Marla Lawhorne (Elliott); his great-niece, Page Lawhorne; his two great-nephews, Gage (Ivy) Lawhorne and Jake Lawhorne ; his two best friends who were like family to him, Tim and Debbie Gallagher; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. &nbsp;&nbsp;He was predeceased by his parents.</strong></p> <p><strong>Family and friends may visit beginning at 1 PM on Sunday, October 3 at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808, where a memorial service to celebrate Fred&rsquo;s life will begin at 2 PM.&nbsp; The family requests guests to wear masks.</strong></p> <p><strong>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children&rsquo;s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.</strong></p> <p><strong>To offer condolences, visit www.dohertyfh.com.</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>

My deepest sympathy to the family of Fred.  Fred and I worked together for four years in Distribution at Kimberly Clark. He spoke of his family often and especially "Little Isabella".  I will always remember Fred fondly.

We met Fred on our trip to Tahiti years ago. What a great guy and what great company for that trip. Amazing guy - Haven’t seen him in years but the memories remain. Wanda and I will keep Fred in our prayers.
