Charles Edward Tandy III Obituary

Charles Edward Tandy III was born in Freer, Tx on Feb 3 1948 to Charles Edward II and Freda Tandy. He graduated from Carroll High in Corpus Christi, Tx in 1966, and began achieving his American dream.

A hard working-no nonsense man, he went straight to work. Charlie built a good career, mainly working on gas pumps and related equipment. Long hours and learning constantly changing systems were a norm.
Charlie also enjoyed hunting, and after retirement, he was an expert ham radio operator.

Charlie married his beautiful wife Jan on March 26, 1988. They’ve had many wonderful years together. They often went camping and western dancing. Together they raised two girls; Kelly and Kim. He is also survived by daughter Teri, brother Mark, and sister Amy, as well as three grandchildren, Savannah, Samantha, and Levi.

Charlie had an accident and sustained a serious and disabling injury in 2011. Like a true champion though, he fought back and regained some normalcy. He fought for 10 years, with the tireless support of his ever faithful wife. Once he felt everyone was at a point they could carry on without his supervision, Charlie relaxed, and went to rest. It was Jan 11, 2021. We love you and will miss you Charlie.
