<div>Agnes Murray Smith, 100 of 1107 Choyce Street departed this world for heaven on 1/13/2021.&nbsp; Agnes was married to the late Andrew Smith for 65 years.&nbsp; She was born on 12/8/1920 to the late Karay and Ealer Murray.&nbsp; She retired from Brown Wooten Mills. Agnes became a member of Carolina Christian Church at an early age where she was very active in the choir and she was also a Sunday School Teacher.&nbsp; Agnes was the oldest living member of the church until God called her home.&nbsp; She was also a member of the Faucette Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary for many years.&nbsp; Agnes read the bible over 43 times during her time here on this earth.&nbsp; Agnes enjoyed yearly beach trips with her siblings and fishing trips with her grandchildren.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;Agnes is survived by her children Gary “Red” Smith (Linda) and Beverly Hackney.&nbsp; Four Grandchildren: Drew Smith (Jill Waddell), Michele Hodge (Jimmy Westbrook), Josh Smith (Stacy), and Gray Hackney (Alicia Muck).&nbsp; Great-Grandchildren: Jonathon Hodge (Samantha Mitchell), Gage Smith, Aly Smith, Samantha Kenyon and Hunter Kenyon. Special friend of the family: Nikki Murray. She is also survived by her&nbsp; sister Betty Ruth Hurlocker and many nieces and nephews.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Agnes was preceded in death by her late husband and parents as well as a son- in- law Wayne Hackney.&nbsp; Sisters Laura Jane, Nadell and brothers K.T and Homer Murray.&nbsp; The funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday January 19, 2021 in the Mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park with Pastor Mark Mitchell officiating.</div> <div>In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to&nbsp;Faucette Fire Dept&nbsp;2164 Carolina Rd, Burlington, NC 27217.</div>
