Karl Wayne Hendrix, age 68 of Overton, Tx, passed away on January 12, 2021 at a Tyler hospital. Born to Louis Wayne and Clara Nell on January 3, 1953. Buddy grew up in Kilgore and graduated in 1970 from Kilgore High School, in March of 74 he married Penny Kay Hammer. They were married for 46 years and had two children, Brady & Karla. R.T., his CB handle, was employed by Martin LP Gas for 28 years before his retirement. He was a very valuable employee and loved driving a truck. Buddy enjoyed his time visiting with friends at The Burrito Shop in Kilgore and The Café in Henderson. He is preceded in death by his father L.W. Hendrix and numerous aunts & uncles. He leaves behind his wife, Penny; his mother, Clara Trull, and brother, Jimmy Dale (Billie); his children Brady Hendrix (Diana), Karla Griffith (Daniel) and grandchildren, Bradley Lardy (Chelsey), Kelsey Washburn (Ryan), Julia, Keith Robinson (Mary), Kayla Moss (Preston), Hunter Robinson (Havien), Shelbey and Kelsey Griffith. He also had 5 great grandchildren and best friend Brad Walker of Canton. The family will receiver friends on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore.
