Frank Edward Roseborough

<br />Ed was born in Tulsa, OK on July 13, 1936, the youngest child of Frank Davis and Myrtle Mae (Cogzill) Roseborough. Ed was a graduate of Daniel Webster High School, Class of 1954 and Tulsa Junior College. He passed on January 13, 2021.<br /><br />In his youth he was known as Eddie. As he became older he went by Ed. In 1973, after he became youth choir director, he was tagged "Big Ed" by one of his choir members.<br /><br />Eddie & Betty Jean Faulkner were married on December 4, 1954, at Tulsa's Trinity Baptist Church. They courtship began in 1953 at Falls Creek Baptist Assembly. They were blessed with more than 66 years of marriage.<br /><br />Throughout his career Ed was employed at various companies. Many jobs involved both inside and outside sales. He retired from Transok Pipeline, Inc. and completed his career at Public Service Company of Oklahoma.<br /><br />Ed was active at Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and Sunday school department secretary. In 1972, Ed was asked to take on leadership of the Youth Choir for 2-3 weeks while they searched for a permanent leader. This temporary, volunteer position lasted until 1992. Soon thereafter he began leading the senior adult choir and did so until 2007.<br /><br />Preceding Ed in death were his parents Frank Roseborough and Myrtle Roseborough Cozbey and sisters, Etta Mae Holt and Mary Louise Clodfelter. He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home, daughter Terri Rene Johnson, Edmond, OK; sons Ronald Edward Roseborough and wife Breck, Owasso, OK and Donald Frank Roseborough and wife Kathy, Fulshear, TX.<br /><br />He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Julie Johnson Butler and husband Ben of Edmond, OK; Michelle Johnson Sawyer and husband, Josh of Edmond, OK; Traci Roseborough Triplet of Sand Springs; Torie Johnson Moore and husband Zachery of Edmond, OK; Cody Don Roseborough and wife Rhiannon of Bellevue, WA; Ronald Edward Roseborough II and wife, Katelyn of Owasso; Connor Frank Roseborough, Katy, TX and sister-in-law, Mary Law of Tulsa, OK; & 14 Great Grand Children.<br /><br />Special thanks to Zarrow Pointe management and staff for their compassionate care and concern for Ed.<br /><br />Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18th at 11:00 am at Trinity Baptist Church. Services may also be viewed at youtube.com/TBCTulsa <http://YouTube.com>Private family Internment will be at Calvary Cemetery. <br />In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Falls Creek Baptist Assembly or the Baptist General Convention Disaster Relief through Trinity Baptist Church.<br /><br />

I am saddened to hear of Ed’s passing. I’m very lucky to have known him and had Ed and Betty as part of my life. My love to his family. At last he has met his Maker! He ‘flew away’.
