Thelma Mae Hickman, 95, of Middletown, NJ, died on January 12, 2021 in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. Thelma was born in Tonganoxie, KS and lived in New Jersey with her family. Thelma worked in the deli at ShopRite in Middletown, NJ. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Kay Lavin of Middletown, NJ; two grandchildren, Todd (Erin) Lavin, Eric (Stacy) Lavin; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Avery, Kyle, Zack; two sisters, Carolyn Higgi of Loomis, CA, Louise Vig of Grand Junction, CO; Todd and Erin of Lewes, DE; Eric and Stacy of Hazlet, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. Thelma was preceded in death by father, Ralph Patterson and mother, Zelma (Buxton) Patterson, and her sisters Elise, Bernice, Adelma, Margaret, and Ester. Our world was a richer place and leaves a void in so many lives. A celebration of life will take place in the summer of 2021.
