Gloria Ida Field (nee Rentz)

On January 9 2021, Mom went to be with The Lord and many family members who have gone before her. She was predeceased by her husband Ray in 2004. Mom was born in Winnipeg on June 14, 1932 to Gustav and Ida Rentz and was fourth amongst ten children. She is predeceased by her siblings Leonard, Jerry, Wayne, Vivian and Pearl. She is survived by her sisters Bernice, Virginia, Gwen and brother Edgar.

Mom had a large family, five children, William, Donald (Diana),Catherine (Ken), Patricia (Richard), David (Sharon),14 grandchildren, Brandi (Jim),Dylan, Lindsay (Kyle), Brant (Deanne), Ryan, Scott (Dimitra), Kyle, Kevin, Jared, Brandon, Liam, Aaron, Riley, Evan, and four great grandchildren, Nolan, Madeleine, Hunter and Antony.

Mom enjoyed the outdoors spending time at the cottage with dad, her grandchildren and her sister Bernice. She was an avid gardener, great cook, excellent baker, and a talented seamstress. Her cinnamon and prune buns were an all time family favourite.  The holidays were an extra special time for mom as she would eagerly look forward to the arrival of her son David, and his family from Australia. She would use her extraordinary talents to make Christmas a wonderful time for all her children and grandchildren, cooking, baking and decorating for weeks. Mom was a woman of faith and a caring mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed.

The family would like to give a special heart felt thank you to the dedicated staff at Bethania Personal Care Home for their compassion and care.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
