Richard Friesen

Richard A. Friesen, age 75, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the New Richland Care Center. Memorial services will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Elden Eklund officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Faribault with military rites provided by Rice County Central Veterans. A recording of Richard's service may be viewed at the end of this obituary. Visitation will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Richard Allen, the son of Edwin and Mildred (Bultman) Friesen, was born December 13, 1945 in Faribault. He graduated from Faribault High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was previously employed by Owatonna Tool Company, farmed near Claremont and in his later years, worked for Bultman Lawn Service, Faribault. He is survived by his children, including Josh (and Jamie) Friesen of Faribault and grandchildren, Ava, Eleanor and Karlee; six siblings, David (and Sharon) Friesen of Owatonna, Sharon Krenik of Morristown, Lorraine (and Ronald) Paschke of Shakopee, Steve (and Joyce) Friesen, Denise (and Dan) Keeley and Paul (and Wanda) Friesen, all of Faribault; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law, Chuck Krenik.
