Evan Lee Garrett, 61, of Ottumwa died at 7:45 a.m. January 12, 2021 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa. He was born January 11, 1960 in Colorado Springs, CO to Evan and Ramona Dunsmoor Garrett. A veteran of the U. S. Army, Evan had worked in HVAC repair. He was an ABATE member and enjoyed building scale models. Surviving is a brother, Johnnie Allen Garrett of What Cheer; a sister, Yvonne (George) Robinson of Moravia; a niece, Christina Garrett; four nephews, Johnnie, James, Everett and Robert Garrett; a great niece, Zoelynn Garrett; three great nephews, Connor, Dakota and Austin Garrett. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Comstock. His body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
