Pelzer - Mary Frances Deal Owings, 80, widow of John Heyward Owings, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021. Born in Anderson County, she retired from Bi-Lo and was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include son, Timothy Owings (Tammy J.) of Pelzer; daughter, Karen Everhart (Robert) of Pelzer; sister, Ann Deal Spearman of Greenville; grandchildren, Wendi Reid, Michael Reeves, Shannon Owings, Jason Kellynn Everhart, and MacKenzie Wright; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hunt, Hannah Reid, Faith Reeves, Houston Howell, Katelynn Ashley, Andrew Patrick, Landon Collins, Kendyll Everhart, and Kylan Gibson; and great-great-grandchildren, Everleigh and Colson Embree. In addition to her husband and mother, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Robert Lee Cagle. Mrs. Owings will lie in state Wednesday, January 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
