Mary Rita Bruckert
<p>Mary Rita Keifer Bruckert of Jeffersonville passed away peacefully after 103 years of vivacious life. She was born in Louisville Ky in May 1917 the daughter of Jake Keifer and Elizabeth Doerhoeffer Keifer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Robert Bruckert Sr. and two sons Gary and Richard and her brother Bernard. She is survived by sons Robert Jr. (Cathy) of Cincinnati,OH, William (Karin) of John's Creek, GA, and daughter Mary Beth Coyte (Stephen) of Wilson, NC., seven grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.</p> <p>Mary and RJ and their entire family were long time members of the community of Sacred Heart Parish in Jeffersonville from its founding in 1954. They were also members of the Jeffersonville Elks Country Club and were active in the many facets of that organization. Mary held positions at several companies throughout her life until raising her family became her sole endeavor. Mary enjoyed golf, bridge, entertaining, and the company of her many friends and family.</p> <p>She truly was a 'Grand lady' with a ready smile and a hearty laugh, endearing her to everyone. who met her. For the past 4 plus years she has been a resident of Bennett Place in New Albany, enjoying the company of other residents and the staff as well. The family would like to thank the staff at Bennett Place for the care they extended to her in her later years.</p> <p>Interment will be in the family plot at Walnut Ridge cemetery where she will rest beside her husband and two sons. There will be a Celebration of Life and small reception at Scott Funeral Home in Jeffersonville at a date to be announced.</p>Obituary
