Mrs. Naomi Wilburn Cantrell, age 76, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Sunday morning, January 10, 2020, at Carter Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grayson, Kentucky. She was born July 23, 1944, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Rev. William T. and Nell Moore Wilburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husband of 28 years, John A. Cantrell, one stepdaughter, Rhonda Cantrell Sammons, one step grandson, Tim Gambill and a step great granddaughter, Skyler Gambill. She was of the Christian faith, and enjoyed going to church, singing and playing her guitar for the Lord. She loved cooking, gardening, working in her flowers and spending time with her family and friends. Naomi is survived by one daughter, Susan Stephens (William) of Grayson, Kentucky; three stepdaughters, Connie Gibbs (Everett) of Ezel, Kentucky, Donna Gambill (Ronnie) of West Liberty, Kentucky, and Mondean Weymer (John) of Picqua, Ohio; two grandchildren, Justin Steele (Sara) and McKenna Steele all of Grayson, Kentucky; one great granddaughter, Alana Blake Steele of Grayson, Kentucky; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; three brothers, Waldo Wilburn (Carol), Joe Wilburn and Larry Wilburn all of Grayson, Kentucky; two sisters, Rosemary Prater (Denver) of Grayson, Kentucky and Beverly Sturgill (Larry) of Hitchins, Kentucky. She leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her A private funeral service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021, Grayson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Grayson, Kentucky, with Brother Denver Prater officiating. Interment will follow in the Everman Cemetery in Grayson, Kentucky. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
