<p>Mildred Baker, 95, of Commiskey, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at her residence.</p> <p>Born November 6, 1925, in Buckhorn, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Lula (Gay) Begley. She married Clarence Roland Baker on September 24, 1949, in Buckhorn, Kentucky; he preceded her in death on May 8, 2018.</p> <p>Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and housewife, she helped around the farm. She was a member of Commiskey Baptist Church and a former member of the Deputy Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Baker enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.</p> <p>Survivors include her son, Gary Roland (Connie) Baker of Commiskey; her daughters, Glenda Baker of Commiskey and Greta (Charles) Raleigh of Chavies, Kentucky; grandchildren, Olivia McMillian of Commiskey, Curtis (Melissa) Baker of Dupont, Faith Scott of Hanover and Gary Halcomb of Deputy; great-grandchildren, Kala McMillian, Elijah McMillian, both of Commiskey, Trenton Scott of Kansas, Lakyn Scott of Hanover, Hunter Halcomb, Shalyn Halcomb and Alila Halcomb, all of Deputy, Reece Baker of China, Indiana, and Brenden Baker of North Vernon; and great-great-grandchildren, Greyson Murphy and Addilyn McMillian, both of Commiskey.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter Molly Baker; brothers, Emery and Curt Begley; and sisters, Oma, Audra, Dolly, and Ruby Begley and Zonal Webster.</p> <p>A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Commiskey Baptist Church in Commiskey, with the Rev. Charles Raleigh officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon. &nbsp;Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp &amp; Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.</p> <p>Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Baker through the funeral home for Expenses.</p> <p>Masks are recommended. We thank our families for their continued cooperation during these difficult times as we strive to help keep our community safe.</p>
