PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW LORI'S FUNERAL SERVICE: Lorine (Lori) Gay West, passed away at age 61 on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from complications of a lingering illness compounded by COVID-19. She was born December 17, 1959 in the LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah to John Douglas West and Marlene Parker. Lori graduated from Brighton High School in 1978. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Cleveland, Ohio mission from September 1981 to February 1983. She later attended Utah State University and Weber College (now University) and received her Associates Degree. She worked at a variety of jobs until she began her career at USANA Health Sciences as a Mail Tech. She loved her co-workers who she became friends with many of them. They loved and cared deeply for Lori, for her sweet demeanor and contagious smile, willingness to help in any ways. Her dedication and dependability to her employment went beyond all expectations, showing up for work when she often wasn’t feeling well to do her job despite the health challenges she had in later years. She never complained and often kept quiet about inner struggles she suffered with, enduring many difficult trials throughout her life. Lori was active in her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in a variety of callings and serving her fellow neighbors and church associates. She was deeply respected, loved and admired by many who knew her as an honest, kind, friendly, optimistic person. She was extremely devoted and dedicated to her responsibilities at work to her employer and at church to her religious responsibilities and convictions. She is survived by siblings: Greg (Marta) West, Mark (Sherrie) West, Blake (Raili) West, Darren (Amiee’Lyn) West, Marla West, Rochelle West Gordon and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Marlene West, brother-in-law, Earl Wayne Gordon and great niece, Marie Harper Johnson.
