Edwin S. Henderson

Edwin S. Henderson, Jr., age 94 years, of Holland Township, NJ, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA., May 31, 1926, son of the late Edwin S. Henderson, Sr. and Elvie Henderson, Ed had resided in Hunterdon County since 1935. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the VFW Post of Milford-Frenchtown, NJ. He was first employed by Riegel Paper Corp. then he and his family built and operated Milford Atlantic Service Station. Later Ed was employed by Penn Central Railroad which later became part of Conrail Corp. from which he retired after thirty-five years with the railroad. Ed had a lifelong love of cars and enjoyed going to Health Quest. His wife, Maryjane Pearce Henderson, died in 1999. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Freeman “Jeff” and Cheryl Smith of Milford, NJ and Michael and Vicky Anderson of Easton, PA. and four grandchildren, Ellie Smith, Brandon Smith, Nicole Anderson and Brady Anderson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ. Calling hours will be Saturday, January 16, 10:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. At 1:30 PM, everyone is invited to join with the family at Marinelli's Pizza and Italian Restaurant, 505 Route 12, Flemington, NJ 0882, where heated outdoor seating will be provided.
