Harold Curtis Ferrell

Harold Curtis Ferrell Sr. was born January 21, 1928 in Pineland, TX to Julius Morris and Thelma Pearl (Wright) Ferrell. He finished his early journey on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the age of 92.<br><br>A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.<br><br>Harold graduated from Pineland (TX) High School. After high school he served in the Army and then the Air Force before being honorably discharged. He married Eva Jo Jones on October 11, 1952 in Duncan. He worked for Halliburton for 23 years as an electronic technician for Special Products. <br><br>He loved to go fishing which was his favorite pastime. He also enjoyed gardening and yard work. He was a handyman deluxe; there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, especially small engines. He was always taking something old and making it new. Harold was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.<br><br>Harold is survived by his wife, Jo; granddaughter, Sarah and husband John Padilla of Arlington, TX; three great grandchildren: Taylor Nicole, Joshua, and Emma Jo Padilla; brothers: Jack Benny and wife Joan Ferrell of Chattanooga, TN; James Edwin and wife Linda Ferrell of Huntsville, TX; and Thomas Glenn and wife Vessie Ferrell of Spring, TX; and sisters: Billie Pearl McCollum of Grove, TX; Barbara Fay Bragg of Shelbyville, TX; and Wanda Gail and husband Richard Beall of Fair Hope, AL.<br><br>He was preceded in death by his parents; sons: David Allan Ferrell and Harold Curtis Ferrell Jr.; brothers: Donald Morris Ferrell and Ralph Paul Ferrell; and sister, Shirley Druelle.<br><br>Online condolences can be made to the family at www.whittfh.com.<br><br><br><br><br><br>
