<p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Heideman, Richard J. "Dick". Age 96. Passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Dear son of the late Albert & Helen Heideman. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Heideman for 70 years. Beloved father of David and the late Rick Heideman. Grandfather of Jennifer, Anja, James and Michelle Heideman. Brother of the late Bob (Wilma) Heideman, the late Jim (Pat) Heideman, the late Kay (Bill) Dinkelacker and the late Adelaide (Jack) Kelsey. Served in the Infantry during World War II and was awarded a Purple Heart in the aftermath of the D-Day invasion. Retired Captain of the Norwood Fire Department. It was Dick's wish to donate his body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for research. He died a peaceful death despite being stricken with covid and having endured the loss of his wife just 24 days prior. Due to the Coronavirus there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
