Mary Frances Swaim Dixon

Mary Frances Swaim Dixon, age 84, of Randleman passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Green Valley Hospital in Greensboro. Ms. Dixon was born in Randolph County on January 30, 1936 to Dewey Walter and Ollie Kidd Swaim. Mary attended Randleman School from 1942-1951 and was very proud to receive her high school diploma from Randolph Technical Institute in 1971. She was formerly employed with Palm Harbor Homes and was a member of Midway Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son, William Howard Dixon, Jr., brothers, Dewey Walter Swaim, Jr., Donald Richard Swaim, and Thomas Eugene Swaim, and sisters, Nancy Ruth Swaim Beasley and Linda Ann Swaim Peck. She is survived by her son, Anthony "Tony" Sherrill Dixon (Renee) of Morganton; grandson, Shaun Dixon (Sherry); great granddaughter, Abigail Dixon; step granddaughter, Jennifer Caudill (Charles); and sister, Brenda Mae Swaim Goins of Randleman; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North in Asheboro with Rev. J. Arnold Luther officiating. Memorials may be made to Cone Health COVID Relief Fund Office of Philanthropy, 1200 N. Elm St., Greensboro, NC 27401 or the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Mid-Atlantic Affilliate, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Dixon family.
