Eugene Mack, Sr. Obituary

Eugene Mack, Sr. was born on June 9th of 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida to Helen Fleming Mack and Nathanial Mack, Sr. He grew up in Jacksonville Florida and attended St Pius Catholic School, Bishop Kenny High School and graduated from Gordon Military Collage High School in 1972. He was very active in sports and football is what he excelled in the most. He was number 2 in the city and his football number was 20.

After high school, Eugene had many different jobs, but he always dreamed of owning his own business. In 1993, one of his dreams had come true. He opened the first Black-Owned pizza delivery restaurant on the north side of Jacksonville called Prime Time Pizza. Over the years, he opened 2 additional Prime Time Pizza restaurants locations and was well known throughout the community. The community really loved Eugene and the fact that he was the only African American pizza restaurant in Jacksonville, and that he was not afraid to deliver in any area of town.

Eugene was called home to be with the Lord in Paradise on January 5, 2021. He had joined his mother, Helen Fleming Mack and father, Nathanial Mack Sr.

Eugene leaves to cherish his many memories: for his wife, Carla Mack; siblings, Jacquelyn P. Huff and Nathanial Mack, Jr.; Eugene and Carla’s five children, three daughters, Michelle Andrews (Joseph), Tameka Wyche-Washington (Albert) and Tanesha Sibley two sons, Anthony Mack (Leandra) and Eugene Mack Jr. (Ta’Tiana); grandchildren, Shalecia Mack, Jaquan Livingston, Jamall Mack (Dejae), Darius Mack, Joell Hammonds, Kyree Hammonds, Liliana Mack, Anthony Mack Jr., Marquail Washington, Zakeria Washington, Jordan Washington, Ailaya Washington, Queen Mack, Gionni Mack, Eliora Allen and Thomas Rawls III; great grandchildren, Airis Livingston, Jamal Mack Jr. and Nalani Mack.
