Maureen Kleinhanz, age 70, of Puyallup, Wash., departed her loving family and friends on Saturday January 2, 2021. Maureen was born to Rex and Mildred Sheppard on November 19, 1950 in Erie, Pa. Maureen thoroughly enjoyed making quilts for family and friends, meeting her quilting group friends, trail hiking, camping, and playing with her puppies. She loved all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Maureen was preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie Zdunski and two brothers, George and Robert Lukeas. She is survived by her brother Rex (Deborah) Sheppard, sister Melinda Farrell, her husband, Robert Kleinhanz, brother-in-law, William Kleinhanz, son, Michael D. Zdunski (Heather), stepchildren Rob Kleinhanz (Sage), Keri Kleinhanz, and her grandchildren, Michael E. Zdunski, Miranda Marcy (Spencer), Haven Thomas, Cody Zdunski, step-grandchildren Jack and Ruby Kleinhanz, Makenzie and Claudia Cook, and her three great-grandchildren, Lorelei, Chase and Beau Marcy. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Step by Step, a charity for women with kids trying to get their lives on track, This was a cause she loved. Maureen will be very deeply missed by so many people, and her memory will always be carried in our hearts.
