Graveside services for Mrs. Mavis Marie Foster, age 84, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA, with Rev. Lyn Story officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm at Bailey Funeral Home. Mrs. Foster was born on April 11, 1936 to Walter and Loretta Axton Pardon in Oak Grove , LA and passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 in Shreveport, LA. She was a born again Christian and was a hair stylist, retiring after 52 years of service. She is survived by a son, Dale (Sharon) Foster of Bossier City, LA; great-grandchildren, C. J. Vines and Dylan Vines; sister, Wilma Bullock, brother, James David Pardon, both of Oak Grove, LA; several nieces and nephews and her pet dog, Lexi. Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, A. W. Foster, a step-grandson, Christopher Vines, father, Walter Hales, step-father, O'dell Pardon, mother, Loretta Pardon, sister, Angie "Peewee" Potts, and sister, Ruby Minor.
