Live streaming services on YouTube Live Dorothy Ellen Dobbs, resident of Muskogee, OK passed from this life on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the N.W. Arkansas Medical Center at Springdale, Arkansas. She was 74 years of age. Dorothy was born September 8, 1946 at Muskogee to Cecil Jay and Minnie Edith (McFarland) Dobbs. She was raised and received her education in both Muskogee and Vian, OK. Dorothy was united in marriage to Naaman Wynn on November 1, 1969. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1996. On February 23, 2006, she married John T. Lawson in Muskogee, and he also preceded her in death. Dorothy worked as a CNA most of her working life in the Nursing profession. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, decorating for Christmas and her annual “Sisters” trips. Besides her husbands, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister Willa Mae McBride, brother Dan Albert McBride, brother Floyd Dobbs, sister Donna Thompson, sister Jenny Cooper and brother Desane Dobbs. Those that survive include a sister Ocie Tyler of Arma, KS, brother J.B. Dobbs of Walters, OK; her children Frank Wynn of Phoenix, AZ, Jeremy Lawson and wife Sharon of Ft. Gibson, OK, Troy Wynn and wife Penny of Peoria, AZ, Alden Dobbs and wife Teresa of Iola, KS, Tony Wynn and wife Barbara of LaHarpe, KS. Mark Wynn and wife Keisha of Cleveland, OK, LaDena Moore and husband Allen of Sapulpa; a stepson Chris Turten and wife Rakyla of Salina, KS; nineteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. At Dorothy’s request, cremation will take place with a memorial service will be Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Blackburn Cemetery. She will be laid to rest next to her first husband in the Blackburn Cemetery. Arrangements and services are under the care of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Cleveland.
