Robert Lee Gorby
Robert Lee Gorby, 66, of Shinnston, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at home. He was born in Clarksburg on September 6, 1954, a son of the late Glenn Freeman Gorby and Mary Catherine (Moore) Gorby Dempsy. Mr. Gorby is survived by three siblings: Jeff Gorby (Sue) of Simpson, David Gorby of Clarksburg, and Jeannie Jewell (Rick Harris) of Bridgeport; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard Gorby and Timothy Glenn Gorby Sr. Robert was a coal miner for many years and then truck driver doing both local and over-the-road transports. He enjoyed fishing and cared greatly for his friends. In keeping with Robert’s wishes there will be no public visitation and cremation services will be honored.
