Ernest Lionel Marshall

Mr. Ernest Lionel Marshall passed away at the Bethany Collegeside, Red Deer, Alberta on January 2, 2021 at the age of 91 years. Ernie was born on December 20, 1929 at Winnipeg, Manitoba. Growing up was not easy for Ernie and he often had many challenges. When finished school, Ernie had many career achievements, he received certifications for Mechanic, Welder, Class 1 Hwy Semi-Truck Driver, Plumber, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic. Many years he drove truck for Western Grocers. He didn’t sit still by any means, living on a farm meant raising pigs, horses, cattle and sheep, and also hauled bales and was a part time plumber and air conditioning repairman, and delivered parts for Propak. Ernie always found enjoyment in carpentry, so after retirement, that is how he spent his time, handcrafting rocking horses, cradles, shelving units and numerous other things. Ernie would sell them at various craft sales on the weekends. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ernie will be remembered by his son David of New Zealand and his son Bill Marshall of Red Deer, Alberta and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ernie was predeceased by his daughter Lillian Elizabeth, his daughter Robin, his son Ernest, his first wife Lillian, and his second wife, Lillian. .
