Richard Anderson

Richard “Ric” Anderson, 58, of East Stroudsburg, PA passed away peacefully at Monroe County Hospice House on 2 January 2021. He was the husband of Sharon (Grover) for 27 years. Richard was born September 24th 1962 in Wheeling, WV. Son of then late Anita "Darlene" Anderson-Lang (Raper), and James “Jim” Anderson, and Stepfather Harvard “Dave” Lang. Ric graduated from Wheeling High School and immediately embraced the world to travel so he joined the Army. Ric served in the Army, 2nd Battalion (BN), 36th Infantry Regiment US Army Europe and 305th Military Police Company, Wheeling, WV, of the 336th MP BN, 333rd MP Brigade. He worked odd jobs after his honorable military discharge. Ric graduated from Washington Computer Learning Center and joined the Information Technology work force for 30+ years. Ric also co-authored a book “Microsoft SMS 1.2 Administrators Survival Guide.” Ric and his wife Sharon bought a bed and breakfast in the Pocono Mountains and hosted many guests in their home for 13+ years and shared many of Ric’s stories and adventures with their guests. Ric enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Washington Redskins. Ric is survived by his Wife, Sharon (Grover) and 5 children, Derrick, Justin and wife Cassandra (Conroy), Heather (Singletary) and husband Tim Perry, Michael (Singletary), and Seth (Myers). Ric is also survived by his sister Jenette and nephew and niece. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2020 from 3-4pm at the Joseph J Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Private services for immediate family only will following the public viewing. All Covid-19 Restrictions will be enforced at the funeral home. Also, in light of the current Covid-19 conditions, a memorial service will also be held at a later date.
