Donald Dean 'Don' Brewer Obituary

Donald Dean Brewer was born to Opal and Clell Brewer in Exeter, CA on October 15, 1945. He was the youngest of five children. He served in the military during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Germany. He married Dodie Brewer and they had three children together while living in Oregon. Schatzi (David), Vincent (Dawnette) and Miranda (Ben). He has a total of 8 grandchildren. Later, Don and Dodie divorced and he moved back to CA where he worked in Sequoia National Park. In 1993 he moved to Montana to work. It was while he was working there that he met Lorinda Dribnenki and within a year they were married. (That was 26 years ago). After a couple of months living in western Montana, they returned to Big Timber where they made their home from then on. Don went to work for Yellowstone National Park where he worked for several years and made many new friends. Sterling was born 6 years into their marriage. Don left his job in the park to be closer to Lorinda and Sterling. It was then that he started his Landscape / Lawn Care business that he continued up until his time of passing. Hunting and being outdoors and being among friends and family were his favorite things. He loved being around people and he never met a stranger. Just someone he wasn’t friends with yet. He and his friend both got an elk this past fall. Don was very active in the Big Timber Evangelical Church and was always available to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Don passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2020 after spending three weeks in ICU (the last week on a ventilator) due to Covid-19 pneumonia. Don was very blessed by the outpouring of love and support he received via all the cards and notes he got while in ICU. A memorial service will be held at the Evangelical Church (corner of third and Bramble, Big Timber) on January 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. This will be live streamed via the Evangelical Church web site. Due to Covid restrictions, we will not be serving lunch or have time of fellowship. There will be no grave side service held. In lieu of flowers or plants, please direct your giving to the Evangelical Church PO Box 696 Big Timber, MT 59011. Throughout this pandemic the church has stepped up by helping those in the community who have been affected by Covid, and can continue to do so with your generous donations.
