Dennis Knudson

Dennis (K.I.) Inman Knudson of Wakonda, SD passed away at the age of 72 on Tuesday, Dec. 29th, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, due to complications from Pulmonary Fibrosis. Dennis was born at the Vermillion Hospital to Knute Inman and Artis (Dahlin) Knudson on October 10, 1948. He attended Wakonda Public School and graduated in 1966. He attended Nettleton College in Sioux Falls, SD before returning to the family farm when his dad became ill. Dennis farmed for most of his adult life, with the exception of several years that he worked at Quality Park in Beresford, SD. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church, rural Wakonda, SD. Dennis was most proud of his children Lindsay and Tyler. His biggest joy in life was being a grandpa to Isabella and Addison. Blessed to have shared his life are daughter Lindsay (Trinity) Turnbow of Bismarck, ND, son Tyler Knudson, Lodi, WI, and granddaughters, Isabella and Addison Turnbow, his sister Corrine (Ron) Hill of Longview, WA, and three nephews, Rodney (Nancy), Kevin (Pil Ok), and Gregg Hill, 3 great nephews, 4 great nieces, 2 great-great nephews and 2 great-great nieces, as well as many cousins. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents. Due to Covid restrictions, the family is planning for a memorial service at a future time and date.
