<p>Margaret B. Purcell, 89, passed away on December 25, 2020 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born on November 19, 1931 in Nashville, Tennessee to William and Margaret (Winter) Bishop.&nbsp;</p> <p>Survivors include her five children, Cathy Ruge (Bob), Carol Breitbach (Pedro), Barbara Zabriskie, Jason Purcell (Lori), and Amie Purcell-Merten (Dave); 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Everett A. Purcell; her mother, Margaret Mary Bishop; her father, William Armstrong Bishop; and her brother, William J. Bishop.</p> <p>Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 pm at Monte Vista Cemetery with Christopher Purcell officiating. Due to the COVID Pandemic, occupancy at the visitation is limited to no more that 5 people at a time. Further, attendance at the graveside is limited to 5 people as well. Please practice social distancing at all times. Thank you for adhering to the Department of Health mandate.</p> <p>The Purcell family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.</p> <p>Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer&#39;s Association at www.Alz.org.</p>
