<p>Clinton R. Hays, 74, of Viola, Illinois died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Genesis Silvis.</p> <p>Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded and there are no services.&nbsp; Memorials may be given in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.&nbsp; Dennison Funeral Home, Viola is assisting the family.</p> <p>Clinton Ray was born September 9, 1946 in Greeley, Colorado the son of Clinton Charles and Dorothy Josephine (Robbins) Hays. &nbsp;He grew up in Viola. Clint survived Polio in 1954.&nbsp; The 1964 graduate of Winola High School went on to earn an Associates Degree in Business from Blackhawk College then a Bachelor of Science Degree in History Education from Augustana College.</p> <p>He enjoyed reading, military history, riding his bicycle, family gatherings and camping.&nbsp; In later years he was involved with the Viola Threshers Reunion.&nbsp; Clinton was known for having a kind heart and a gentle spirit.</p> <p>Clinton is survived by his two sisters and brothers-in-law: &nbsp;Dorothy Jean and Kim Graham and Diana Sue and Ken Stoltenberg.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents.</p> <p>Online condolences may be left at www.dennisonfuneralhome.com.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Clinton Ray was born September 9, 1946 in Greeley, Colorado the son of Clinton Charles and Dorothy Josephine (Robbins) Hays.  He grew up in Viola.
