<p>Clinton R. Hays, 74, of Viola, Illinois died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Genesis Silvis.</p> <p>Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded and there are no services. Memorials may be given in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project. Dennison Funeral Home, Viola is assisting the family.</p> <p>Clinton Ray was born September 9, 1946 in Greeley, Colorado the son of Clinton Charles and Dorothy Josephine (Robbins) Hays. He grew up in Viola. Clint survived Polio in 1954. The 1964 graduate of Winola High School went on to earn an Associates Degree in Business from Blackhawk College then a Bachelor of Science Degree in History Education from Augustana College.</p> <p>He enjoyed reading, military history, riding his bicycle, family gatherings and camping. In later years he was involved with the Viola Threshers Reunion.
