William Thomas Justus

WILLIAM THOMAS JUSTUS, 51 years of age of Lexington, KY, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born in Richlands, VA, he was the son of Anita (Blankenship) Stanley of Varney, KY, and the late Thomas Douglas Justus. He was a longtime resident of Buchanan County and was of the Christian faith. He was a loving father, son and was a truck driver. William was a graduate of Hurley High School, attended Pikeville College and loved Alabama Football, drag racing and was an animal lover. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brad Deaton; Maternal Grandparents: Clell and Lottie Blankenship; Paternal Grandfather: William Justus Jr. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Anita (Blankenship) Stanley of Varney, KY; his Paternal Grandmother: Ruth Justus of Hurley, VA; Daughter: Brooke Justus of Lexington, KY; Step-Father: Larry Stanley of Varney, KY. Also, survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. with Ministers: Matt Ross and John George Blackburn officiating. Graveside Rites for WILLIAM THOMAS JUSTUS will be conducted Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mountain Rest Mausoleum at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA, with entombment to follow. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends. We will be taking proactive measures to help prevent the spread of any potential illness. In an effort to minimize direct contact, we ask that you consider avoiding shaking hands or physical contact with the members of the family or other guests.
