Albert R Patterson

Albert Ray Patterson was born May 28, 1944 to the late Jessie Louise Hawkins. Al was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama. He left Dothan and came to New York City in search of a better life. After moving to New York and finding employment, he helped move his mother and family to the state. Al was a devoted husband to his wife Luz, who he has been married to for over 50 years; and a loving father to his children. Where Al went, Lucy followed. He worked as a contractor with John O’Hara, Inc. for many years. An avid sports fan, especially football. Al was a devoted and forever fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Al was preceded in death by his siblings, Ellen Hawkins, Alice Hawkins, Eunice Patterson, Ferrel Hawkins, Jerome Jackson & John Griffin and his grandson, Wayne Reid. He is survived and will be dearly remembered by his wife Luz; his 4 daughters, Denise Patterson, Gloria Patterson (Mecca), Yvonne Patterson (Woody) and Alberta Jannah Patterson (Red); 2 sons, Albert Patterson II (Petey) and Albert Patterson III; loving grandchildren, Tahaira Patterson, Tamia Reid, Kareem Patterson, Tiannah Patterson, Mason Patterson, Dongiovanni Strickland, Justin Ray Strickland, Tariq Thomas, Madison King, Aliyah Baptist, Nakiayah Patterson, Ala’Ja Patterson, Ty’Lil Menter, Keiasha Patterson, Albert Patterson IV, Mya Patterson, King Patterson and Alaiyah Patterson. He also leaves many great grandchildren and a host of other family and many friends.
