Roger "Dale" Skeen

<p>Mr. Roger &ldquo;Dale&rdquo; Skeen, 71 a lifetime resident of Thomasville passed away on December 04, 2020 at his home. He was born in Davidson County on January 01, 1949 a son to the late Penn Skeen and Zona Carriker Skeen. Dale was a member of First United Methodist Church, an honorary member of Fair Grove Fire Department and served in the United States Army. He spent most of his working career as a contractor in the housing industry. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Dale loved doing for those in the community and elsewhere without any desire for recognition. He had a kind soul and heart and never met a stranger. The community loved his warm ways and appreciated the kind of person he was. Dale enjoyed life but he received the most joy from his grandchildren. He was in every sense of the word, a dotting Paw Paw. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Skeen of the home; son, Larry Skeen; granddaughters, Kaile Skeen and Sydney Skeen; mother of his wonderful grandchildren, Lori Skeen; sister, Janice Stevens and niece Tara. He also leaves behind his fur baby whom he loved so much, Tuff and many extended family members and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 08, 2020 at 2:00PM in the J C Green and Sons Chapel located in Thomasville, officiated by Rev. Rodney Burton. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home for 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service.</p>
