Barbara was born on June 28, 1938, in Lawton, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Margaret (Barker) Hutson. Barbara grew up and attended school in Fletcher, Oklahoma, graduating with the Class of 1956. Barbara was also the Cleoma and Annual Queen in high school. Following her education, Barbara remained in Fletcher before moving to California. In 1966, while residing in Enid, Barbara met Olin Tabor. The couple was united in marriage and soon moved to Seattle; in 1968, they moved to the Cleveland area. In the 1970s, Barbara began working at the Hissom Memorial Center. She was later promoted to the pharmacy, which was a position she loved and excelled in. Upon the Hissom facility's closure, she transferred to Lloyd Rader Center in the employee training department. In the 1980s, Barbara moved to Sand Springs, where she has continued to reside. Barbara worked as the assistant administrator of the department at Rader and made sure everyone had their required training completed on time. She was promoted to administrative assistant for Mr. Al Post, which was her most proud career position. When not many got a college degree, Barbara climbed the career ladder and became a successful businesswoman retiring in 2000. Barbara loved being with her family and grandchildren. Always willing to help out with them and travel to see them participate in their activities. Barbara loved playing cards with her friends as well as playing Farkle. Traveling to Florida and going with her son Leroy to get manicures and pedicures, which would always follow up with an enjoyable dinner. Thanksgiving time was very special to Barbara. Everyone was expected to come to her home to have dinner and fellowship. Sundays were also special to her because that gave her the time to worship her Jesus Christ Lord and Saviour. Survivors include her six children Gale Tabor of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kenneth Tabor and his wife Anita of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Rodney Tabor of Enid, Oklahoma, Lisa Harvey of Prue, Oklahoma, Margaret Reeves and her husband Joe of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dawn Schmidt and her husband Steve of Owasso, Oklahoma; one brother Bill Hutson and his wife Gladys of Niceville, Florida; one Marie Crow of Enid, Oklahoma; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by seven siblings and two children Lori Brewer and Leroy Tabor. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 7, 2020, at the Woodland Cemetery. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
