John J. Weaver, born September 28, 1945 passed away on November 30, 2020 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.  He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lydia Weaver.

John was born in Springfield, MA to John and Ruth Weaver.  He grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  He graduated from Florida State University and served in the U.S. Army.  He moved to the Fort Walton Beach area in the 1970’s and worked with Centel.  He retired from Okaloosa Gas Company in 1998.

John was a lifelong learner, enjoying classes at the Center for Lifelong Learning and especially loved history.  A special thanks goes to Kathy Johnson, his Skip-Bo partner.  John loved cooking, whose skills he learned from a long stint in the Boy Scouts, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

We would like to thank our Florida friends, who are our chosen family, for all their help and support.  Special thanks to Dr. Brenda Moore and Angie who were with us every step of the way.  Bless Them All.

No services will be held at this time.  Please remember John in healthier times and cheers to him for all the memories with his friends and loved ones.
