<p>Richard E. McCrea, age 88 of Shaker Hts., OH.&nbsp; Loving father of M. Louise Kudrna (Jeffrey) of North Ridgeville, OH and Kent C. McCrea of Albuquerque, NM; dear grandfather of Julia and Evan Kudrna; dear Godfather of Tom Vanderhoof.&nbsp; Longtime educator and wrestling coach at University School (upper campus).&nbsp;Richard graduated from University (1951) and Trinity College (Hartford)&nbsp;where&nbsp;he was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity at Trinity.&nbsp; &nbsp;He attended John Marshall Law School and received an&nbsp;honorary degree when it became part of Cleveland State University.&nbsp; &nbsp;Dick taught American History and Government&nbsp;at University School&nbsp;for over 30 years and was a wrestling coach. &nbsp;&nbsp;Dick was a loyal attendee at the Cleveland Symphony concerts, a member of the&nbsp;Rowfant&nbsp;Club, and Civil War Round Table.&nbsp; &nbsp;Dick was&nbsp;renown&nbsp;for his colorful attire.&nbsp;</p> <p>The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to the Buckeye Border Collie Rescue, PO Box 375, Tiffin, OH 44883.&nbsp; A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a date and time to be determined.&nbsp;</p>

Obituary

Richard E. McCrea, age 88 of Shaker Hts., OH.  Loving father of M. Louise Kudrna (Jeffrey) of North Ridgeville, OH and Kent C. McCrea of Albuquerque, NM; dear grandfather of Julia and Evan Kudrna; dear Godfather of Tom Vanderhoof.  Longtime educator and wrestling coach at University School (upper campus). Richard graduated from University (1951) and Trinity College (Hartford) where he was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity at Trinity.   He attended John Marshall Law School and received an honorary degree when it became part of Cleveland State University.   Dick taught American History and Government at University School for over 30 years and was a wrestling coach.   Dick was a loyal attendee at the Cleveland Symphony concerts, a member of the Rowfant Club, and Civil War Round Table.   Dick was renown for his colorful attire.
