Betty Jean Brown, age 89 of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Henry Community Health in New Castle. She was born April 25, 1931 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Campbell. She lived most of her life in New Castle and was a 1949 graduate of New Castle High School. She retired from Modernfold Industries in 1997 after 46 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Betty was an avid bowler, she liked playing cards and watching golf on television. Those left to cherish her loving memory include her granddaughter, Amy (Joshua) Lynn of Tennessee; two great-grandchildren, Jarrett and Tyler Lynn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Eugene Brown; three sons, Danny, Ronald, and Tony Brown; two brothers, Phillip and Robert Campbell; a sister, Janet Haynes. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle with Reverend Danny Douglas officiating.
