Melvin "Bobby" Wiley Kennedy Obituary

Mr. Melvin “Bobby” Wiley Kennedy was born October 13, 1947 in Columbia, SC to the late Wiley and Dorothy Kennedy. He entered in God’s heavenly rest on December 3, 2020.

Bobby joined Bethlehem Baptist Church at an early age and was a graduate of C.A. Johnson High School in Columbia, SC.

Bobby enlisted into the United States Army in 1967 and served meritoriously in the Vietnam War. After honorably serving his country, Bobby became a master brick mason with Goines Masonry INC, from which he retired after over 40 years of employment. Bobby loved the Lord, fast cars and his family.

Bobby leaves to cherish his precious memories, his daughters, LaQuitta Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC, Melissa Smith of Kennesaw, Ga and Amanda Roach of Columbia, SC; three sisters, Mrs. Nezzie Wathkins, Mrs. Elease Atterbury and Mrs. Gloria Eargle ; a brother, Ralph (Jacqueline) Kennedy all of Columbia, SC ; two grandsons, Aubrey Bowers of Orlando, FL and Khalib Ellison of Kennesaw, GA; great-granddaughter; special friend, Betty Roach and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
