Aaron J. Stephens Peoria, Illinois Obituary

Aaron J. Stephens

Aaron Jack Stephens, age 29, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Aaron was born on November 12, 1991 in Peoria, a son of Ralph and Lynn (Waugh) Stephens. They survive. He is also survived by one brother, Eric Stephens of Colorado. Aaron graduated from Limestone High School and worked as a Welder at Morton Buildings. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Those who crossed paths with Aaron may remember him for his over the top sense of humor and his contagious laughter. When he wasn’t working, Aaron could be found camping, having a cookout, or playing cards; likely with a beer in hand. People who knew Aaron knew the activity didn’t matter. Whether it was grabbing a coffee, shopping, or going for a walk, Aaron could make the passing of time more enjoyable for those around him. Aaron’s infectious laugh will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to witness it. Aaron was known as a hard worker and a selfless individual. He was always willing to give whatever he had and more to friends, family, and animals in need. Aaron’s final selfless act was giving many strangers the gift of life by donating his organs and tissue. A Memorial Mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Peoria. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Cremation Rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peoria Humane Society or PAWS. Friends may sign the online guestbook or send condolences at www.wrightandsalmon.com.
