John Arthur Cole, age 85, of Almont died December 2, 2020 at McLaren - Lapeer Region. John was born March 17, 1935 in Lapeer, Michigan to the late John and Bertha Cole [Johnson]. He married Lenore Murray on June 11, 1983. John was one of the founding volunteer firefighters when Hadley Twp created their fire department. He enjoyed farming, and was a jack of all trades that enjoyed building houses, most of all John was always there helping others. John is survived by is wife Lenore, children: Andy Cole, Mark Cole, Ruth Hawes, Ron (Veronica) Cottick, Jeannette (Chris) Allen, siblings: Geneva Johnson, Lucretia Cichoracki, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Clarence and Henry. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of John‘s Life will take place at a later date.
