<p>Paul Ruffner, 94, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Julia Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown, MD. He was born on April 24, 1926 in Washington County, MD to the late Peter and Rebecca Switzer Ruffner. Paul was employed by Mack Trucks, Inc. of Hagerstown, MD for 18 years until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Hagerstown, MD. He was a member of Hagerstown Lodge #217 AF&AM and a past master at Eureka Lodge in Sharpsburg, MD. He is survived by his wife Glenda L. (Jackson) Spong Ruffner whom he married on May 31, 2003; son David L. Ruffner of Boonsboro, MD; son Dolyn P. Ruffner and his wife Linda of Hagerstown, MD; stepdaughter Dorinda S. Yawn and her husband Charles of Falling Waters, WV; grandson Eric Ruffner; 2 great granddaughters; 1 great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by a brother Warren Ruffner; sisters Virginia Mauck, Blanche Bealfield, Elsie Smith, Mildred Earley, and Dorothy Fouch; grandson Adam Ruffner. Due to the COVID pandemic and Paul's wishes, the family's visitation was private and a private graveside service was held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD with G. Stanley Steele officiating.
