Dean, JoAnn M., 82, McVeytown, passed away December 1, 2020 at Penn Highlands Huntingdon. Born June 8, 1938, Newton Hamilton, daughter of the late Marshal D. and Catherine M. (Forgy) Sunderland. Survived by loving husband, Gerald D. Dean; Children, Robert Dean and wife, Ann Marie, Newton Hamilton; and Brenda A. Szczerba and Husband, Frank A., DuBois; Grandchildren, Alex Dean, Alan Dean, Benjamin Dean, Frank “Frankie” Szczerba and wife, Jennifer, Sarah Szczerba, Nicholas Szczerba; and great-grandson, Michael. JoAnn enjoyed flowers, gardening, and working outside. She spent her free time crocheting. Most importantly, she cherished her time with family and adored her grandchildren. Friends and family will be received at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home, Mount Union, on Friday, December 5, 2020 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm and Saturday, December 6, 2020 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12 p.m., Pastor Bob Boswell, officiant.
