Winchester- Norman A. Ruot, Sr., 78, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Carol (Silano) Ruot.

        Mr. Ruot was born in Torrington on February 24, 1942, son of the late Alphonse and Mary (Bonetti) Ruot, and had been a resident of Winchester and Englewood, FL. Before his retirement, he worked for 30 years for C.H. Nickerson Co., and for 15 years for LaPaluccio Co., of Brookfield.

        Survivors, in addition to his wife, Carol, include two sons, Norman A. Ruot, Jr., and David A. Ruot, both of the Burrville section of Torrington; five wonderful grandchildren, Kristin of San Diego, CA, Gregory of Englewood, FL, Jessica, Devin, and Jeffery, all of Torrington; as well as many friends in Connecticut and Florida.

        Services will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
