Susan K. Gile, 55, of West Berlin, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday November 24, 2020, at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin. Born on June 27, 1965, in Covina CA., she was the daughter of the late John E. and Sarah (Spence) Keefe.

Susie was a 1983 graduate of Harwood Union High School. As a young woman she worked at National Life Insurance Co. in Montpelier, she later worked as an administrative assistant for Martin Johnson of the Johnson Company in Montpelier and Zalinger Cameron & Lambek P.C. of Montpelier, most recently she was employed as a receptionist at Barre Gardens Nursing Home in Barre City. She loved her job at Barre Gardens and she enjoyed her time with the residents and staff.

She enjoyed cooking, cruising around in her 2005 Ford Mustang, Traveling to the Maine Coast, and Carolina beach with her family. She found great joy in gathering with her large extended family.

Susie is loved and mourned by her husband of 30 years, Frank A. Gile of West Berlin; her sons, Ian Gile of Montpelier and Sam Gile of Montpelier; close friends Joni Haskins and Wanda Touchette, both of Duxbury; As well as extended family. She was predeceased in 2003 by her brother John E. Keefe Jr.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, when it is safer to gather, inurnment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery in Duxbury.
