Arnaldo Perez Padrino, 90 years old, of Pinar del Rio, Cuba, passed away on November 24th, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV, USA.

Arnaldo was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba to Caridad Perez Hidalgo and Juana Padrino Diaz on January 16th, 1930.

Arnaldo was an honorable man, great husband, wonderful father, and loving grandfather. He was the oldest of five siblings. He married his wife Maria on December 31st, 1960 and had a wonderful marriage of 60 beautiful years. Out this union, two children, four grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren were born.

There are no words that can describe the overwhelming feelings left by his passing. Our father, our grandfather, our confidant. He would fix what we broke and would not complain. He would always have a word of advice and peace when we needed it the most. The Island’s Godfather (El Padrino de la Isla). With his unique sayings. With “su barco a toda vela y sin novedad en ningún frente”. We will always need his hug of heavy hands and strong heart. We cannot get use to the idea that we will not hear his voice anymore, that we will not see his smile, and that he will not longer be waiting for us so we can now fix what he broke. Our hearts long for the day when we will meet again
