Shirley Ann Edwards
Shirley Ann Edwards, 87, of Goodrich, died Monday, November 30, 2020. Shirley was born March 19, 1933 to Arthur and Martha (Keobke) Soule. She graduated from Romeo High School, class of 1951. She married William Martin Edwards on July 16, 1955 in Romeo. Shirley worked 30 years as a registered nurse at Wheelock Memorial Hospital, Goodrich, Michigan. Shirley was a member of The Baptist Church of Hadley since 1968. She served in many capacities as a very active member at her church. Shirley is survived by her three children: Jean (Mike) Davis of Waynesville, NC, William “Marty” Edwards II of Goodrich and John (Kim) Edwards of Lapeer; nine grandchildren: Desiree, Danny, David, Shannon, Bill, Bryan, Zachary, Joshua and Eric; seventeen great grandchildren; sister: Violet Demery of Melvin. Shirley is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, William Edwards; daughter, Sheryl "Sheri" Hawley; son, Daniel Edwards; two brothers: Robert and Arthur Soule; mother, Martha Gardner; step-father, William Gardner and her aforementioned father. Visitation will be held from 9-11AM Friday, December 4, 2020 at The Baptist Church of Hadley, 4566 Pratt Road, Hadley, Michigan 48440. Shirley’s funeral service will be 11:00AM Friday, December 4, 2020 at The Baptist Church of Hadley, Pastor Jesse Loggans officiating. Burial will take place at Green Corners Cemetery.
