<p>Diane Elaine (Burke) Holtorf was born Aug 6 1942 in Fort Collins Co to Ray and Virginia Burke. She was the middle of three children. She entered into rest Nov 30, 2020.</p> <p>&nbsp;Diane graduated from Timnath High School, and then on to Colorado State University where she met the love of her life, Tom Holtorf. On June 6th, 1964 at Saint Joseph Catholic church in Fort Collins Co., they were married and then took up residence at the ranch south west of Yuma where they raised their two sons Thomas and Marc.</p> <p>&nbsp;After doing &ldquo;ranchey&rdquo; things and raising two sons, Diane decided in 1986 to start teaching full time at Yuma Schools.</p> <p>In 1996 she was informed that her first grandchild was coming; her response was to state that she was too young to be a granny and from henceforth should be referred to as Mammy. For the next 24 years Mammy and Papa chased grandchildren, from going on &ldquo;Grand adventures&rdquo; to sitting for hours in cold football bleachers and stale gymnasiums.</p> <p>Diane&rsquo;s passion in life was helping others in time of need, she spent many of her days volunteering at The Community Cupboard, helping with Hospice care and was active in St John&rsquo;s Altar &amp; Rosary Society</p> <p>Diane was preceded in death by her father Ray, Mother, Virginia &ldquo;Ma&rdquo;, daughter Johnna, brother&rsquo;s in law Dr. Ed Murray and John Holtorf</p> <p>She is survived by siblings John Burke and wife Calla, Joan (Burke) Murray, husband of 56 years Tom, and sons Thomas (wife Julie, children Hayden, Spencer, and Alec); and Marc (wife Julie Laut, children Julian and Celia); Sister in law Lea, and many family and friends too numerous to list but not forgotten.</p> <p>Due to the current situation services will be held at a later date. &nbsp;&nbsp;Baucke Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.&nbsp;</p>
