Obituary
Juan Jose Suarez passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the young age of 55 years old. He was born on May 26, 1965 to the late Gilberto and Cruz Suarez. He was raised by his stepfather, Donald Galvan and mother, Cruz Suarez. He is survived by 9 siblings and grew up on the Southside of Chicago. At the age of 9, he lost his vision and grew up to become an extremely popular disc jockey at the age of 20. He began his career at a radio station called WCYC in the heart of Little Village where he became known to his listeners as “Majic Juan”.
Over his 30 plus years in radio, he accomplished so much. From being a broadcaster, to a promoter, an entrepreneur and his passion, a disc jockey. If not for his cane, most of his listeners had no idea that he was blind and were in awe when they met him.
Juan and the late Cindy Mendez became parents to 2 beautiful daughters, Alexis and the late Breanna Suarez. His family was the love of his life and always taught his daughters to keep moving forward no matter what just as he did with his handicap.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and loyal radio listeners. He has made such a great impact to everyone who knew him.
