Funeral Services for Mr. David Lawrence Hedgecoth, age 74, of Rickman will be conducted 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. Mickey Ledbetter will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Green Acres Cemetery in Crossville.  The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.

David passed from this life on Sunday evening, November 29, 2020 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  He was born in the Pleasant Hill Community of Cumberland County, Tennessee to the late Burr Leonard & Thelma Jane Ringley Hedgecoth.  David was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Livingston.  He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee in 1973 and his Master's Degree from Tennessee Tech in 1979.  David was an inventor who enjoyed building, technology, working, and computers.

David leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years, Mrs. Jackie Lou Spear Hedgecoth of Rickman, TN; daughters, April Hale & husband Craig of Smithville, TN, and Tonya Mitchell & husband Brian of Rickman, TN; sons, William Hedgecoth & wife Missy of Soddy Daisy, TN, Chris Hedgecoth of Crossville, TN, Dustin Hedgecoth & wife Lindsay of Cookeville, TN, Barry Hedgecoth & wife Marti of Sparta, TN, and Ken Grubbs & husband Stephen G. of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Cody Hedgecoth & wife Santana, Adam Hedgecoth, Allison Caballero & husband Gabriel, Devin Hedgecoth & wife Mary, Dylan Hedgecoth, R.J. Hedgecoth, Aaron Patterson, Amelia Patterson, Aiden Patterson, Cooper Odom, Kennedy Odom, Lilly Beason & husband Zack, Allie Neal, and Cloe Parrott & husband Westin; great-grandchildren, Mia Faye Hedgecoth, John Dawson Hedgecoth, Axel Beason, Armor Beason, and Chevelle Beason; sister, Ruby Hernandez & husband Bill of Crossville, TN.

David was preceded in death by his parents and best friend Steve Sliger.
