It is with great sadness we mourn the passing of this kind and caring man, Mr. Richard Phillip ‘Rich’ Blackmore of Penhold, Alberta, where he and his partner, Bev of forty-three years called home, passed away at the Innisfail Health Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the age of 80 years. Rich was born and raised in Cardston, Alberta, the eldest of eight children. He loved the ranching and rodeo lifestyle, up until joining the Military, from 1961 to 1988, travelling to many parts of the world. After retirement from the Military, he and Bev moved to Penhold; where they had their own trucking business, travelling throughout Canada and the U.S.A. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, biking, Rodeo, drinking, dancing, singing and playing guitar. Rich leaves to mourn his partner, Bev, his four children, Sandy, Stacey, Shelly, Richard, and his step-son, Kevin. He will also be sadly missed by his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as his extended family and friends. At Rich’s request, no Funeral Service will be held. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the Innisfail Health Centre and the Rosefield Care Centre, for their excellent care and compassion, while caring for Rich during his battle with Parkinson’s disease. He will be missed by all that knew him. If desired, Memorial Donation’s in Rich’s honor may be made directly to the Rosefield Centre, 5023 – 42 Street, Innisfail, Alberta, T4G 1A9.
