Victor W. Cerio

Victor W. Cerio, 92, a lifelong resident of Ardmore, PA passed away peacefully on November 27, 2020. Father of the late Vincent, he was survived by his wife of 63 years, Florence Ballone, sons Victor, Daniel, Daughter Lisa Pence (Richard), daughter in law, Betty Cerio, grandson James, and his feline friend Pumpkin. He was predeceased by siblings Raymond, Gabriel, George, Susan DiRidolfo, Margie Fulcher, Florence Meoli, and survived by sister, Theresa Ferro. Victor proudly served in the Korean War and was deployed to the front line on Christmas Eve, his favorite holiday. He loved his country and enjoyed sharing his many war stories. Victor loved boating, fishing and his home at Gandy’s Beach where he made many friends over the years. Manhattan cocktail hour was always at 5:00pm! Victor was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and would never miss watching a Phillies or Eagles game no matter the score. He will be forever remembered for his sense of humor and corny jokes! We love and will miss you, dad. Relatives and friends are invited to greet Victor’s family on Friday December 4, 2020 from 10-10:45am at St. Denis Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane, Havertown, PA where his memorial mass will follow at 11am. Interment will take place at St. Denis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Veterans of Foreign War, State HQ, 4002 Fenton Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17109-5943, with checks made payable to Dept of PA VFW.
